Dreamsicle Pie



1. Smoothie- Add ½ cup Sprite, 1 Tbsp of the mix, and 1 cup crushed ice. Blend until very smooth.

2. Dreamsicle Shake- Mix 1 package of the Pie Mix with ½ gallon vanilla ice-cream. Blend in the blender, and add milk if desired.

3. Cream Pie variations:
a) Use the whole mix, 2 cream cheese, and 16oz of cool whip, pour into 2 pie shells
b) Use 1/2 mix, 1 cream cheese, and 8 oz cool whip, pour into 1 pie shell.

4. Take a store bought slice and bake sugar cookie roll. Cut each cookie in half and mold into greased mini muffin pan. Bake for 3 minutes on 350. Mix together 1 pckg. cream cheese, 1 cup cool whip, and 5 Tbsp. of the mix. Scoop mixture into cooled cookie cups. You can get festive and pipe them in to give it a classy look.

5. Make ½ of each of the following: Dreamsicle Pie, Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Lemonade Pie, and Lemonade Pie. Layer in individual glass dessert cups or a large glass bowl. Serve with sweet crackers if desired.

6. No Bake Triple Layer Cake: Prepare separately, dreamsicle pie, key lime pie and lemonade pie to achieve 2 cups of each. Roughly, 1/4-1/2 package of each with 1/2 to 1 full package of cream cheese and 1/4-1/2 container of cool whip for each, depending on desired consistency. Purchase one store bought Angel-Food Cake. With a serrated knife, slice horizontally into 3 layers. Spread Key Lime Pie onto first layer, place second layer of cake on top, spread Dreamsicle Pie on top of this layer, then layer top piece of cake and spread with Lemonade Pie. Decorate top with strips of zest from a lemon, lime and orange. This is a pretty presentation displaying 3 products at once and all the citrus flavors make a cool, refreshing and light summer dessert. This cake can also be made using the sugar free varieties of Key Lime and Lemonade Pies.

7. Cream together ½ cup butter, 8 oz cream cheese, and the mix. Add 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, and ½ tsp vanilla. Add 2 ½ cups flour and ½ tsp baking powder, little by little. Dough will be sticky. Chill for 4 hours or overnight. Thoroughly flour table or rolling surface and roll out dough- use cookie cutters of your choice. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Frost if desired!

8. Sweet and Crunchy Summer Salad: Combine fresh baby greens, spinach or mesclun greens, 1 can of mandarin oranges, drained, 1 cup of fresh strawberries, halved, 1/2 cup of whole pecans or walnuts, and 1/4 cup of crumbled gorgonzola/blue cheese. For dressing, combine 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 or 2 tsp. of dreamsicle pie mix, and 1 Tbsp of water. Shake in a cruet or bottle for an Orange-Balsamic Vinaigrette. Add sliced chicken or turkey for a heartier summer salad, perfect for lunch or dinner.
